Cabelas is west of downtown I70/435, would be pricey cab ride, sponge a ride with a friend.
Bass Pro is east of downtown I70/470, same as above.

Nelson Atkins Museum of Art is in the Plaza area.
Block Modern Art Museum is in the Plaza area.
World War I Museum across from the Westin in the Crown Center area, 816 784-1918.
Union Station, restored to its original beauty, various exhibits and restaurants.

Argosy a little bit west of downtown.
Ameristar quite a hike from downtown.
