KCs version of reinvention of downtown, built to compliment the new Sprint Center. Plenty of places to eat and drink and play. For example...Bice Bistro (Italian), Bristol Seafood Grill (One of my favorites), Gordon Biersch Brewery, Howl at the Moon, McFadden' s Sports Saloon (Fun place), Mosaic Lounge (Ultra Chic?) and the Shark Bar. And more. Something fun? Go bowling at Lucky Strike Lanes, a retro style spot with pool tables to boot.
Right around the corner from the downtown Marriott and on the way to the P&L is the Hotel Phillips and its restaurant, The Chophouse. Good food. In the opposite direction, about two blocks from the downtown Marriott is the Majestic Steak House on Broadway. Good food, historic setting.
The College Basketball Experience (www.collegebasketballexperience.com) and the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame located at the Sprint Center.
